Will You Buy A Zhu Zhu Pet Hamster This Christmas?

Every year there is some new craze that kids just cannot get enough of. An item every parent dreads not being able to find or afford for their little cherubs during the the season of goodwill. This year, that 'must have' toy is without a doubt the Zhu Zhu Pet Hamster. Originally known as Go Go Pet Hamsters the name change seems to have done their popularity a world of good. Sales have sky rocketed and search engines have been inundated with hits looking for these cute little creatures.

A surprise hit, a consumer panel of children amazed the makers by just how much they loved the Zhu Zhu Pets range. Stores sold out as their popularity soared and now it seems the only place to buy them is online.

But, will you be buying Zhu Zhu Pets this holiday season? This is one kids craze that seems to have nothing offensive about it. There is nothing not to like about Mr Squiggles or Chunk. Cute noises, and tiny blankets really make these cute in the extreme. For many it seems a Hamster House with a bathroom and kitchen is a whole lot more enticing than a real live breathing hamster in a cage full of sawdust.

It seems understandable that parents may prefer these motorized pets, after all there is nothing to clean, and no difficult questions of life, death or where babies come from on the horizon. Plus, perhaps most amazingly for a Children's Christmas Toy Craze is that the Zhu Zhu Pet Hamster range is not actually that expensive.

Ordinarily it seems anything that has kids all in a dither and parents panic buying is likely to be overpriced tat. This craze is a little different. The Zhu Zhu Hamsters themselves are pretty reasonable, from $15 to $20 if you buy them from the right Zhu Zhu Pets outlet. There is a huge range of Zhu Zhu Accessories so you can as ever spend a small fortune on your little darlings if you like, but you do not have to spend much to ensure your kids are not left out from the Zhu Zhu Party this year.

If your kids are after a simple to care for pet hamster you can buy a Zhu Zhu Pet as a peripheral gift with something more traditional like a bicycle as their 'main' present. But if they have totally been bowled over by the Zhu Zhu Craze you can buy them a whole Christmas of Zhu Zhu Gifts. Hamster Play Wheels, Hamster Houses, Carry Cases, Blankets and an almost endless supply of characters to choose from too.

A Christmas Toy Craze that is actually affordable is probably one of the main reasons this one has taken off quite so successfully. After all, $15 to $20 is in the realms of the majority of parents and kids know these things too. There is no point in nagging for something too pricey when you know Mom's purse is far from full, but a $15 gift that simply everyone else in class will get too is another story. Kids all love to fit in with their peers and all having the same toys is one way of doing so.

For some folks nothing could be as fabulous as the real thing, a 'proper' pet hamster to help teach our children empathy and respect for living creatures, plus a little responsibility in caring for something else. But it would seem that even those kids who live with loved family pets nothing will be quite as great as a team of Zhu Zhu Pet Hamsters this year. So, will you be buying Zhu Zhu Pets this year? If your kids have anything to do with it almost definitely!
